Rep. Don Bacon, who represents Nebraska’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, shared several updates on March 31, 2026, through his social media account.
In a post at 16:43 UTC, Bacon announced federal funding for Boys Town, stating “Excited to announce @BoysTown has been awarded a $2,183,030 @HHSGov grant for their Drug Abuse and Addiction Research Programs!”.
Later that day at 16:51 UTC, he informed followers about an interview with Chuck Todd available on NoosphereApp: “You can watch my full interview with @chucktodd on @noosphereapp below https://t.co/RGwm2bbmVQ”.
In another message posted at the same time, Bacon commented on government shutdowns: “Shutdowns are bad policy and bad politics. It’s not fair to our DHS workers. We’re losing the ability to come together and get things done. Our country needs consensus. That’s what the Founders intended. @noosphereapp https://t.co/z5rWDqsCYr”.
Bacon has served in Congress since 2017 after replacing Brad Ashford as representative of Nebraska’s 2nd district. He was born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently resides in Papillion. Bacon holds degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
