Rep. Don Bacon, U.S. Congressman representing Nebraska’s 2nd district since 2017, announced on July 21, 2025, that his tele-townhall event was about to begin and encouraged constituents to participate.
On July 21 at 22:30 UTC, Bacon posted, “One hour away! https://t.co/isWU8VTJta”. Later that evening at 23:33 UTC, he followed up with an invitation for public engagement: “Our tele-townhall just started! To ask questions, call in at 855-962-1225 or submit questions at https://t.co/ZXqnmywbC5. I look forward to hearing from you!”
Shortly after the event began, Bacon highlighted the reach of previous sessions in a post dated July 21 at 23:36 UTC: “Last time we did this, we had over 17,000 participants. This format allows us to discuss multiple issues with a large audience.”
Bacon has served as the representative for Nebraska’s 2nd District since replacing Brad Ashford in 2017. He was born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently resides in Papillion. His educational background includes a BA from Northern Illinois University and further studies at the University of Phoenix.
