Rep. Don Bacon, a U.S. Congressman representing Nebraska’s 2nd district since 2017, shared several updates on his social media account on December 7, 2025. His posts ranged from local sports achievements to commentary on American public opinion regarding foreign policy.
In a post celebrating local athletics, Bacon wrote: “Sweet Sixteen for Huskers Volleyball.” (December 7, 2025).
Turning to international affairs later that day, Bacon cited survey results in two separate tweets referencing the Reagan Institute poll. He stated: “According to Reagan Institute poll, a VAST MAJORITY of Americans support sending U.S. weapons to Ukraine.” (December 7, 2025). In another tweet posted minutes later, he added: “According to Reagan Institute poll, a VAST MAJORITY of Americans see Russia as an enemy of United States.” (December 7, 2025).
Bacon has served in Congress since defeating Brad Ashford in the 2016 election and officially taking office in January 2017. Born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently residing in Papillion, Bacon holds degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
