Rep. Don Bacon, a U.S. Congressman representing Nebraska’s 2nd district since 2017, posted a series of tweets on December 7, 2025, highlighting recent polling data and sharing details from a visit to a Washington, D.C., museum.
In his first tweet at 19:44 UTC, Bacon referenced the results of a recent survey: “Reagan Institute poll shows U.S. support for NATO is at an all-time high. So why is the Administration so hostile to NATO?” He raised questions about the current administration’s stance toward NATO in light of what he described as unprecedented public support.
Later that evening at 21:53 UTC, Bacon commented further on the Reagan Institute poll’s findings regarding public opinion on the Russia-Ukraine conflict: “According to latest Reagan Institute poll, approximately 6X more Americans want Ukraine to win vice Russia. The Administration better keep this in mind.”
In his final post of the day at 23:07 UTC, Bacon shifted focus to cultural activities in Washington, D.C.: “Our office visited @museumofBible and enjoyed seeing manuscripts dating back over 2000 years. There are many great places to visit in DC and our office can help you with your visit.”
Don Bacon has represented Nebraska’s 2nd District since replacing Brad Ashford in Congress in 2017. Born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently residing in Papillion, Bacon graduated from Northern Illinois University with a BA in 1984 and later attended the University of Phoenix.
