Rep. Don Bacon, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska’s 2nd district since 2017, posted a series of statements on social media on October 20, 2025, addressing issues ranging from anti-Semitism to international relations and drug policy.
In one post made at 22:20 UTC, Bacon wrote: “Another anti-Semite to put on mute.”
Later that evening, at 22:29 UTC, he commented on Hungary’s role in global affairs by stating: “The shame of it is that Hungary is not neutral ground.”
Addressing domestic policy at 22:41 UTC, Bacon remarked on the ongoing drug crisis in the United States and President Biden’s response to drug cartels. He stated: “ICYMI: We lose 100K Americans a year to drugs, so POTUS is right to confront the cartels. But he should come to Congress, make his case, & get authority before taking continued action.”
Bacon has represented Nebraska’s 2nd district in Congress since replacing Brad Ashford in 2017. Born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently residing in Papillion, Bacon holds degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
