Rep. Don Bacon, U.S. Congressman representing Nebraska’s 2nd district since 2017, posted a series of statements on September 3, 2025, addressing topics ranging from congressional votes to border policy and personal commentary.
In a tweet posted at 19:45 UTC, Bacon stated, “I voted today to release the Epstein Files. It is more far reaching than the discharge bill.”
Later that evening at 20:59 UTC, he addressed immigration policy and recent changes in border crossings. He wrote, “.@POTUS can & should declare victory at the border. We went from 12K illegal crossings a day to now virtually zero. Now is the time to reform our immigration system w/ the border fixed. We need to secure our nation’s economic future. The alternative is that our country will”

Bacon has served as Nebraska’s representative since replacing Brad Ashford in 2017 and resides in Papillion after being born in Momence, Illinois in 1963. He holds degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
