Rep. Don Bacon, who represents Nebraska’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of messages on his social media account on November 10, 2025, commenting on historical politics and commemorating the anniversary of the United States Marine Corps.

Shortly after, Bacon acknowledged a military milestone by stating: “Happy 250th Birthday @USMC! We salute and thank all of our Marines who have served and continue to serve with honor, courage, and commitment. #SemperFi “ This message marked the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States Marine Corps.
Later that day, Bacon made another brief statement referencing Havana: “Havana in other words. No thanks.”
