Rep. Don Bacon, a U.S. Congressman representing Nebraska’s 2nd district since 2017, posted several updates on his X (formerly Twitter) account regarding Husker Volleyball and commentary on political figures.
On November 2, 2025, Bacon celebrated the success of the local volleyball team, stating, “Another sweep! 39 straight sweeps for Husker Volleyball! https://t.co/cMWJeBRXhb”. Later that day, he shared another post containing only a link: “https://t.co/RKZqSorEs7”.
The following day, on November 3, Bacon commented on public statements made by Nick Fuentes. He wrote: “Nick Fuentes says he is a fan and an admirer of Joe Stalin, one of the worst mass murderers in history. I see too many Far Right Isolationists who also admire Putin and current day Russia. They have no moral compass. The Far Right are NOT Conservative. https://t.co/8r9BmRlpvD”.
Bacon has represented Nebraska’s 2nd District since succeeding Brad Ashford in 2017 and resides in Papillion. Born in Momence, Illinois in 1963, Bacon graduated from Northern Illinois University with a BA in 1984 and later from the University of Phoenix.
