Rep. Don Bacon, who has represented Nebraska’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress since 2017, recently shared a series of posts on his social media account addressing legislative efforts and political commentary.
On November 2, 2025, Bacon wrote, “I’m leading several of these bills and will review the others immediately. I appreciate @NTU’s voice.” He followed up later that day with a statement on political figures and organizations: “The WSJ is right on target regarding the Heritage Foundation, Tucker Carlson and Nick Fuentes. Fuentes is a sick anti-Semite and who is coddled by Carson, and who in turn is coddled by Heritage. I support a big-tent GOP, but not one with anti-Semites.” In another post the same evening, Bacon commented on a political candidate: “This guy is an 0-2 Congressional candidate in strong Republican districts for a reason.”
Bacon’s remarks come amid ongoing debates within the Republican Party about its direction and inclusivity. As background, Don Bacon succeeded Brad Ashford as representative for Nebraska’s 2nd District in 2017 and has served continuously since then. Born in Momence, Illinois in 1963, Bacon currently resides in Papillion. He holds degrees from Northern Illinois University (BA) and the University of Phoenix.
