Rep. Don Bacon, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska’s 2nd district since 2017, posted a series of tweets on April 5, 2026, addressing topics ranging from online discourse to international security.

In one post at 06:50 UTC, Bacon wrote, “OK Goebbels.” Later that morning at 06:59 UTC, he stated, “I’m trying to be #NebraskaNice.” At 07:03 UTC, Bacon commented on global nuclear threats with the message: “The world is more dangerous with North Korea with a nuke bomb. We will be less dangerous with Iran without one.”

Bacon has served in Congress since replacing Brad Ashford in 2017 and represents Nebraska’s 2nd District. He was born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently resides in Papillion. Bacon graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1984 and later earned another degree from the University of Phoenix.
