Rep. Don Bacon, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska’s 2nd district since 2017, made several statements on social media regarding Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and related geopolitical issues.

On November 14, 2025, Bacon announced his upcoming appearance on television, writing: “Joining @NewsNation with @connellmcshane shortly. Tune in!”

Later that day, he commented on the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine: “This is Russian first & sounds like the way folks thought in the 1930s that kept us weak prior to WW2. Ukraine is on the side of freedom & rule of law. Russia is our adversary & hates the values we embrace. If Russia succeeds here, then Moldova is next. And it won’t stop there.” (posted November 14, 2025).

The following morning, Bacon addressed reported Russian military losses: “Russia is losing a thousand soldiers a day due Putin’s failed invasion.” (posted November 15, 2025).

Bacon has served as Nebraska’s representative in Congress since replacing Brad Ashford in 2017 and resides in Papillion. Born in Momence, Illinois in 1963, he holds degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
