Rep. Don Bacon, who represents Nebraska’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, shared a series of posts on October 19, 2025, expressing his views on recent national events and policy issues.

In a post at 22:43 UTC, Bacon wrote, “Embarrassed and disgusted.” At 22:55 UTC the same day, he thanked a news outlet for hosting him to discuss pressing matters related to drug enforcement and government operations. He stated, “Thank you @NewsNation for having me on to discuss the shutdown & strikes on suspected drug smugglers. We lose 100K Americans a year to drugs, so POTUS is right to confront the cartels. But he should come to Congress, make his case, & get authority before taking continued action.” Later that evening at 23:12 UTC, Bacon commented on an unspecified achievement by posting, “Nine straight sweeps! Awesome dominance.”

Bacon has served as the representative for Nebraska’s 2nd District since replacing Brad Ashford in 2017. Born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently residing in Papillion, Bacon holds degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
