Rep. Don Bacon, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska’s 2nd district since 2017, recently shared his thoughts on various topics through social media posts. Born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently residing in Papillion, Bacon has been an active voice in political and sports discussions.
On June 21, 2025, Rep. Bacon extended his congratulations to two college baseball teams for their achievements. He wrote: “Congratulations to @CoastalBaseball and @LSUbaseball on making the #MCWS Finals! The road to Omaha ends here at the Greatest Show on Dirt. May the best team win! “
In another post dated June 22, 2025, he addressed international security concerns by stating: “Iran with a nuclear weapon is an existential threat. Pres. Trump is protecting America.” This reflects his stance on national defense and foreign policy under President Trump’s administration.
Later that day, Bacon commented on a military operation’s execution by saying: “Operation Midnight Hammer was executed brilliantly and done with great secrecy and great deception. The misdirection created the needed surprise.” His remarks highlight the strategic success of this operation.
Don Bacon graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1984 with a BA and furthered his education at the University of Phoenix.
