Rep. Don Bacon, who represents Nebraska’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets on November 21, 2025, addressing both international and local topics.

In a tweet at 02:59 UTC, Bacon commented on the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. He wrote, “Shhhh: Russia invaded Ukraine and are bombing cities everyday. Russia wants to dominate Ukraine, and Ukraine wants freedom and their independence. That’s what we would want as Americans! We fought hard for our freedoms.”

Later that morning at 03:21 UTC, Bacon congratulated a local sports team, stating, “Nebraska Volleyball: BIG10 Champions! All of Nebraska is proud of you.”

Bacon has represented Nebraska’s 2nd District since 2017 after succeeding Brad Ashford. He was born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently resides in Papillion. Bacon earned his undergraduate degree from Northern Illinois University in 1984 and later graduated from the University of Phoenix.
