Rep. Don Bacon, who has represented Nebraska’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress since 2017, shared a series of posts on his social media account on October 11, 2025, addressing topics ranging from international relations to media acknowledgments.

In a post published at 02:54 UTC, Bacon commented on John Mearsheimer, a prominent political scientist, stating “Mearsheimer has lost all credibility.” Later that day at 15:47 UTC, he expressed support for Ukraine’s future by posting “Ukraine has a glorious destiny: independent, democratic, free markets, rule of law… and a strong member of the western countries.” In another message posted at 15:50 UTC, Bacon congratulated journalist Jacqui Heinrich on her new show and wrote “Congrats to @JacquiHeinrich on her new show! This will be a great Sunday interview.”

Bacon’s remarks come as he continues his tenure in Congress after succeeding Brad Ashford in 2017. Born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently residing in Papillion, Bacon holds degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
