Rep. Don Bacon, a U.S. Congressman representing Nebraska’s 2nd district since 2017, posted several statements on his Twitter account on December 5, 2025, addressing foreign policy and domestic workforce needs.

In a tweet at 15:40 UTC, Bacon stated, “Appeasement does not work. Putin is taking advantage of the naivety and gullibility of our negotiators.”

Later that day at 16:05 UTC, he posted another message simply saying “Volleyball Nation!”

At 16:17 UTC, Bacon addressed healthcare staffing concerns with the post: “We need more nurses, not less. Federal policies should reflect that need.”

Don Bacon has represented Nebraska’s 2nd District in Congress since replacing Brad Ashford in 2017. Born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently residing in Papillion, Bacon holds degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
