Rep. Don Bacon, a U.S. Congressman representing Nebraska’s 2nd district since 2017, shared several updates and policy views on his social media accounts between November 17 and 18, 2025.
On November 17, Rep. Bacon addressed trade policy concerns regarding China, stating in a post: “We’ve learned broad-based tariffs are not good for economic growth nor competitiveness. But there is a time & place for targeted tariffs. China’s trade policies are predatory & unfair, and deserve a stern response. Congress should retain its Constitutional authorities but would” (November 17, 2025).

On November 18, Rep. Bacon commented on religious persecution in Ukraine amid ongoing conflict with Russia: “The Administration should also meet with clergy from churches bombed by Russia, as well as the Evangelical & Catholic clergy persecuted in Russian occupied areas of Ukraine. Is it true our intel knows the Russian Orthodox Church is funded by the Kremlin?” (November 18, 2025).
Don Bacon has represented Nebraska’s second district since succeeding Brad Ashford in Congress beginning in 2017. Born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently residing in Papillion, Bacon holds degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
