Rep. Don Bacon, who represents Nebraska’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently highlighted legislative achievements and policy positions through a series of posts on his official Twitter account.
On March 13, 2026, Bacon expressed satisfaction with recent legislative developments, stating, “I am pleased that all six of our legislative priorities were included in the Farm Bill passed by @HouseAgGOP. Agriculture is economic security and national security, and this legislation equips producers with the tools they need to succeed.”
Later that day, Bacon addressed foreign policy concerns regarding Iran. He wrote, “ICYMI: We’ve done significant damage to Iran. Top leadership eliminated & military capabilities devastated. But the job is not done unless we see regime change. If we stop short of that, the new leadership will be just as anti-American & anti-Israel.” This statement reflects ongoing debates within U.S. foreign policy circles about strategies toward Iran.
On March 14, 2026, Bacon turned attention to constituent services: “If you can’t get timely answers from a federal agency or feel unfairly treated, our office can help resolve issues and get you info. We can’t guarantee a favorable outcome, but we’ll strive for a fair response.”
Bacon has represented Nebraska’s 2nd District since 2017 after succeeding Brad Ashford. Born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently residing in Papillion, Bacon holds degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
