Rep. Don Bacon, a U.S. Congressman representing Nebraska’s 2nd district since 2017, has been active on social media, addressing several key issues and opportunities. Born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently residing in Papillion, Bacon brings his experience to the forefront of political discussions.
On June 20, 2025, Bacon expressed gratitude towards a news outlet for hosting him to discuss significant topics. He tweeted: “Thank you @kfabnews for having me on this morning to discuss the ongoing reconciliation bill negotiations and the Israel-Iran conflict.”
Later that day, he reaffirmed his stance against anti-Semitism through another tweet: “And always proud to stand 100% against anti-Semitism and to support the only democracy in the Middle East. I wear your scorn with pride.”
In a subsequent post on the same date, Rep. Bacon announced internship opportunities for Fall 2025 at his offices in Washington D.C. and Omaha. He stated: “ICYMI: We are now accepting Fall 2025 internship applications for our DC and Omaha offices! Join Team Bacon and gain firsthand experience in Congress while serving NE02.” This offers aspiring individuals an opportunity to engage with congressional operations directly.
Don Bacon graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1984 with a BA and furthered his education at the University of Phoenix.
