Rep. Don Bacon, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska’s 2nd district, shared several updates via social media on recent activities and his stance on international issues.
On June 17, 2025, Rep. Bacon highlighted a local economic development event attended by his office. He noted, “Yesterday our office attended the ribbon cutting for Bank of America’s N 30th branch. They are committed to ensuring the economic growth across all of Omaha.”
Later that day, Rep. Bacon expressed gratitude towards the Nebraska Farm Bureau for their visit to his office and their advocacy efforts regarding tax policies affecting agriculture. On June 18, he tweeted, “I thank the @NEFarmBureau for coming to our office and explaining why extending the tax-cuts are so important to farmers and that we need to promote more AG exports.”
In another post dated June 18, Rep. Bacon articulated his views on foreign policy concerning Ukraine and Russia. He stated the urgency of providing military support to Ukraine while condemning Russian actions: “We must send necessary weapons to Ukraine ASAP… I’ll vote for strict sanctions on Russia & support sending advanced weapons to Russia.”
Don Bacon has served in Congress since replacing Brad Ashford in 2017 and resides in Papillion after being born in Momence, Illinois.
