Rep. Don Bacon, who represents Nebraska’s 2nd congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives, shared a series of posts on August 26, 2025, discussing his recent engagements and political views.
In one post from that day, Bacon expressed appreciation for a media appearance: “Thank you @NebPublicMedia for welcoming me to your studios. Great discussion on the future of public media funding, immigration, Ukraine, my vision for the Republican Party’s path forward, & more. Appreciate the thoughtful conversation @KassidyArena.” (August 26, 2025)
Later the same day, Bacon commented on his visit to a local institution: “Thank you @unmc for the tour of your impressive facilities. The institute’s innovative design and commitment to helping those with disabilities flourish is remarkable. From virtual reality labs to job training, they’re changing lives every day.” (August 26, 2025)
Addressing international affairs in another post on August 26, Bacon criticized Russia’s actions in Ukraine: “It is so insulting. Russia invaded Ukraine and almost took their capital. It was Russia who was over confident and got their “asses” kicked.”
Bacon has represented Nebraska’s 2nd District since replacing Brad Ashford in Congress in 2017. Born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently residing in Papillion, he graduated from Northern Illinois University with a BA in 1984 and also attended the University of Phoenix.
