Rep. Don Bacon, a U.S. Congressman representing Nebraska’s 2nd district since 2017, posted a series of tweets on October 30 and 31, 2025, addressing local issues and national concerns.

On October 30, Bacon wrote about his recent meeting with Nebraska utilities, credit unions, and banks: “Met with Nebraska utilities, credit unions and banks to discuss how they’re helping customers who are federal employees either not being paid or furloughed. Call them for help! Thank you @NECULeague for hosting.”

The following day, Bacon shared a tweet that included only a link: “https://t.co/95BvFkFpZn” on October 31.

Later on October 31, he commented on New York City politics: “The looming Mamdani disaster on NYC. https://t.co/YLrsz2wrCc”

Bacon has served as the representative for Nebraska’s 2nd District since succeeding Brad Ashford in 2017. Born in Momence, Illinois in 1963, Bacon is now based in Papillion and holds degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
