Rep. Don Bacon, who represents Nebraska’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of updates on December 17, 2025, covering topics from international affairs to birthday wishes for a colleague.
In his first post of the day, Bacon addressed foreign policy and state politics: “I appreciate being in a state delegation that fully agrees that Russia is the aggressor and that we need to support Ukraine. And… our Governor does too.” (December 17, 2025).
Later, Bacon shared his recent media appearance: “ICYMI: On @CNN with @wolfblitzer & @PamelaBrownCNN, I discussed the latest on the Venezuela boat strikes and the need for congressional authorization and oversight, the economic harm caused by tariffs, and the need for more moral clarity and decency in our leadership.” (December 17, 2025).
He concluded his posts with a personal note to a fellow legislator: “A Happy 60th Birthday to my friend @RepBrianFitz!” (December 17, 2025).
Bacon has served as Nebraska’s representative since replacing Brad Ashford in 2017. He was born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently resides in Papillion. His educational background includes degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
