Rep. Don Bacon, a U.S. Congressman representing Nebraska’s 2nd district since 2017, posted a series of statements on November 21, 2025, addressing concerns over the sale of certain dolls and drawing historical parallels to international negotiations involving Ukraine.
In his first post at 00:23 UTC, Bacon wrote, “The fact that these dolls are available for sale is disgusting. I joined this letter with 32 of my colleagues in demanding answers.”
Shortly after, at 00:24 UTC, he commented on another issue by stating, “Unacceptable. It is a 1938 Munich.”
Later that night at 01:17 UTC, Bacon elaborated further on his stance regarding negotiations about Ukraine’s future without its direct involvement. He said, “We don’t have all the details yet, but it’s sounding more like a Russian plan for Ukraine. Negotiating without Ukraine is a lot like Munich 1938. It makes Ukraine weaker & vulnerable to future Russian attacks. It’s unacceptable & a surrender to Putin. We must have moral clarity.”
Bacon’s reference to “Munich 1938” alludes to the Munich Agreement where European powers negotiated with Nazi Germany without Czechoslovakia’s participation—a decision widely criticized for undermining the affected nation’s sovereignty.
Don Bacon has represented Nebraska’s 2nd District in Congress since replacing Brad Ashford in 2017 and currently resides in Papillion. Born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and now aged 59, Bacon holds degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
