Rep. Don Bacon, who has represented Nebraska’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress since 2017, posted a series of messages on September 14, 2025, recognizing political figures and reflecting on his past experiences.

In one post at 14:30 UTC, Bacon offered recognition to Utah Governor Spencer Cox, stating “Deserved praise for Governor Spencer Cox.”

Five minutes later, at 14:35 UTC, Bacon commended a fellow lawmaker with the message “Mike McCaul is a great Congressman, a great American and a great friend.”

Later that afternoon at 16:28 UTC, Bacon referenced his military background by posting “I participated in BRIGHT STAR 1993 in Egypt.”

Bacon has served as the congressional representative for Nebraska’s 2nd District since succeeding Brad Ashford in 2017. He was born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently resides in Papillion. His educational background includes degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
