Rep. Don Bacon, who represents Nebraska’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates on October 30, 2025, regarding his recent meetings and community engagements.
In a post published at 19:19 UTC, Bacon wrote, “Great meeting with local food banks and non-profits! We discussed the shutdown’s impact on operations. For every meal from a food bank, SNAP provides nine. Together, we can make a difference!”
Later that day at 19:50 UTC, he posted about supporting a constituent through an immigration process: “Got to visit Jagadish Bhandari today! Our team assisted him with the visa application process, enabling him to relocate to Omaha and be reunited with his family.”
At 21:25 UTC on the same day, Bacon expressed gratitude for local community efforts: “Thank you to Karen Gibler and the Sarpy Chamber for hosting our non-profit roundtable today. They are collecting food and diaper donations for Offutt families!”
Don Bacon has served as the congressional representative for Nebraska’s 2nd District since replacing Brad Ashford in 2017. He was born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently resides in Papillion. Bacon holds degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
