Rep. Don Bacon, who represents Nebraska’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets on September 20, 2025, addressing defense spending and other topics.

In a tweet published at 17:23 UTC, Bacon stated, “In response, the House voted by voice unanimously to INCREASE Baltic Security Initiative spending. The Pentagon is out of step and at odds with Congress on this. The Undersecretary for Policy has a 1930s world view. The only people happy with him is Putin and his team.”

Later that day, at 18:46 UTC, Bacon shared another post containing only a link: “https://t.co/P0rxB0i3W6”.

At 19:48 UTC on the same day, he tweeted support for an unspecified event or group with the message: “Go Big Red! https://t.co/hxbelbpVFz”.

Bacon has represented Nebraska’s 2nd District since 2017 after succeeding Brad Ashford. He was born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently resides in Papillion. Bacon holds degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
