Rep. Don Bacon, U.S. Congressman representing Nebraska’s 2nd district since 2017, posted a series of updates on his official X account this week covering trade policy, bipartisan dialogue, and local sports.

On December 4, Bacon praised the White House for its recent trade decision: “The White House did right by removing the tariffs on coffee. I was part of a team that advocated strongly for this tariff to be removed. Now on to removing other tariffs!” (posted December 4, 2025).

Later that day, he encouraged followers to watch an upcoming broadcast: “Tune in to @cspan’s Ceasefire tomorrow at 6pm CT for a bipartisan conversation with @RepRoKhanna, hosted by @DashaBurns.” (posted December 4, 2025).

In another post early the next morning, Bacon recognized athletic achievement: “Congrats to Jays Volleyball on a NCAA Tournament win!” (posted December 5, 2025).

Bacon has represented Nebraska’s 2nd District in Congress since defeating Brad Ashford in 2017 and resides in Papillion. He was born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and holds degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
