Rep. Don Bacon, a U.S. Congressman representing Nebraska’s 2nd district since 2017, posted a series of statements on his Twitter account on December 19 and 20, 2025, addressing internal party standards and acknowledging staff contributions.

On December 19, Rep. Bacon stated, “We don’t want anti-Semites in the GOP. Full stop.” On the same day, he recognized the service of a team member by posting, “Today we bid farewell to Nathaniel Lee, an outstanding Space Force fellow with our team this past year. He stepped up as needs and assignments changed, playing a key role in another successful NDAA that included eight of our sponsored bills. Thank you Nathaniel!”

On December 20, Rep. Bacon commented on Steve Bannon with a brief post: “Steve Bannon = Yuck.”

Don Bacon has served in Congress since replacing Brad Ashford in 2017 and currently resides in Papillion after being born in Momence, Illinois in 1963. He holds degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
