Rep. Don Bacon, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska’s 2nd district since 2017, posted several comments on his social media account on September 2, 2025.

In one post at 20:12 UTC, Bacon wrote, “A Neo-Luddite.” At 20:16 UTC the same day, he commented on a significant naval event: “The Russian Black Sea Fleet Flagship and heavy cruiser, the Moskva, is now a submarine resting at the bottom of the sea.” Later that evening at 22:28 UTC, Bacon shared another post containing only a link: “https://t.co/Bbmclxhxzk”

Don Bacon has served in Congress since replacing Brad Ashford in 2017. He was born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently resides in Papillion. Bacon graduated from Northern Illinois University with a BA in 1984 and later earned a degree from the University of Phoenix.
