Rep. Don Bacon, who represents Nebraska’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, addressed concerns about cybersecurity, healthcare access, and agricultural policy in a series of posts on September 8, 2025.
In a post made at 15:52 UTC, Bacon wrote, “China has a Cyber Force 10X larger than ours. Our Cyber Command has not grown in years. With daily cyber attacks from China and Russia, it’s time to seriously reevaluate our cyber force structure.”
Later that day at 18:11 UTC, he highlighted healthcare shortages in Nebraska: “Out of Nebraska’s 93 counties, 90 of them struggle with finding enough doctors and 30 of them also lack hospitals & infrastructure. This program helps fulfill those needs by bringing these USA trained physicians to our state.”
At 19:05 UTC, Bacon posted about his recent engagement with agricultural leaders: “Pleased to meet with @NEFarmBureau’s farmer and rancher members from their Leadership Academy and Board of Directors in DC last week. Passing a strong Farm Bill remains one of my top priorities to support our AG community.”
Bacon has served as the representative for Nebraska’s 2nd District since replacing Brad Ashford in 2017. He was born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently resides in Papillion. Bacon holds degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
