Rep. Don Bacon, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska’s 2nd district since 2017, recently shared several updates on his social media account regarding cybersecurity concerns and community engagement.

On November 9, 2025, Rep. Bacon posted a message highlighting a report from the cyber solarium: “The cyber solarium says we are going backwards in our cyber defenses. This is largely due to actions by the Administration and is unacceptable.”

Earlier that day, he also expressed appreciation for local educational institutions: “I love visiting High Schools and discussing current issues. Thank you to Bennington High School for inviting me. I enjoyed the broad array of issues our students were thinking about.”

Rep. Don Bacon has served in Congress since replacing Brad Ashford in 2017 and represents Nebraska’s 2nd District. He was born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently resides in Papillion. Bacon holds degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
