Rep. Don Bacon, who has represented Nebraska’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress since 2017, posted a series of brief statements on his social media account on December 12, 2025.

In one post at 2:21 a.m., Bacon wrote, “Get a manicure. Nebraska Nice.” Later that morning at 2:33 a.m., he commented on economic policy, stating, “This is the real affordability issue and why Republicans rejected tariffs since the 1930s showed the failure of tariffs.” At 11:12 a.m., Bacon posted another short message: “Leading the way.”

Bacon has served as Nebraska’s representative in Congress since succeeding Brad Ashford in 2017. Born in Momence, Illinois in 1963, Bacon is currently 59 years old and resides in Papillion. He holds degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
