Rep. Don Bacon, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska’s 2nd district since 2017, shared his perspectives on various issues through a series of tweets on June 18, 2025.
In one of his posts from that day, Bacon referred to “Comrade Carlson” here.
During a visit to the Gulf States, Bacon expressed concerns regarding Iran’s nuclear capabilities. On June 18, he tweeted that he heard “clearly that a nuclear armed Iran is an existential threat,” and noted the “concerns of escalation.” He also mentioned that while current conflicts might temporarily hinder the expansion of the Abraham Accords, they could eventually lead to new opportunities once resolved here.
On economic matters, Bacon cited information from the Council of Economic Advisers (CEA) in another tweet on June 18. He highlighted that “a Nebraska family of four will receive up to a $12,500 increase in yearly take-home pay if we pass and renew the tax cuts.” He emphasized that “@HouseGOP is turning promises into real dollars for Nebraska families” here.
Don Bacon was born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and resides in Papillion. He graduated from Northern Illinois University with a BA in 1984 and later attended the University of Phoenix.
