Rep. Don Bacon, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska’s 2nd district since 2017, shared a series of personal and professional updates on his social media account on November 12, 2025.

In a post published at 04:03 UTC, Bacon honored his father with a photograph and wrote, “A picture of a favorite veteran of mine, my Dad, Donald D Bacon. Semper Fi.”

Bacon has served as Nebraska’s representative in Congress since succeeding Brad Ashford in 2017. He was born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently resides in Papillion. His educational background includes degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
