Rep. Don Bacon, a U.S. Congressman representing Nebraska’s 2nd district since 2017, shared several updates and opinions on his social media account on November 5, 2025.
In one post, Bacon invited constituents to participate in an ongoing tele-townhall, writing, “Our tele-townhall is still underway and it’s not too late to join! To ask questions, call in at 855-962-1225 or submit questions at https://t.co/ZXqnmywJrD.” (posted November 5, 2025).
He also commented on international affairs and the responsibilities of political leaders. In another tweet from the same day, he stated, “Those who can’t see clearly who Putin and Hamas are have a moral blindness.” (posted November 5, 2025).
Addressing policy-making processes, Bacon emphasized impartiality regarding political leadership: “We shouldn’t be making policy decisions based on the political affiliation of a governor or mayor.” (posted November 5, 2025).
Bacon has served in Congress since succeeding Brad Ashford in 2017 and represents Nebraska’s 2nd District. He was born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently resides in Papillion. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northern Illinois University (1984) and further studies at the University of Phoenix.
