Rep. Don Bacon, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska’s 2nd district since 2017, shared personal reflections and tributes in a series of posts on March 15, 2026.
In one post, Bacon expressed his appreciation for a film, stating, “One of my top 10 movies.” (March 15, 2026).
Later that day, he reflected on his experiences in Baghdad, highlighting a memorable encounter: “One of the highlights of my year in Baghdad was meeting Canon Andrew White, an Anglican Priest. His sermons, & spiritual & historical insights made Sunday church services very special. He is clearly led by the Spirit. Canon White made great impact on many.” (March 15, 2026).
In another message posted the same day, Bacon paid tribute to fallen service members: “Our hearts are with the families. We grieve with them. They represented the best of America and gave their lives in the service of our country.” (March 15, 2026).
Bacon has served as Nebraska’s representative since replacing Brad Ashford in 2017 and currently resides in Papillion. Born in Momence, Illinois in 1963, he holds degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
