Rep. Don Bacon, who represents Nebraska’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates on social media about a recent agriculture roundtable and law enforcement efforts in his state.
On August 9, 2025, Bacon posted that he and other Nebraska leaders “welcomed @SecRollins to Nebraska this morning. At our agriculture roundtable, meat, grain and dairy producers voiced 100% support that the One Big Beautiful Bill is hugely beneficial to their industries.”
Later the same day, Bacon highlighted points raised during discussions with Secretary Rollins: “.@SecRollins acknowledged the need to implement trade deals quickly. We must expand our markets and reduce fertilizer costs. She also heard the criticality of year-round E15, more biofuels and expanded legal immigration.”
In another post from August 9, Bacon addressed public safety initiatives: “We thank our local FBI as well as the other law enforcement agencies involved for making our streets and neighborhoods safer for all. The only people we want to feel insecure here are the criminals.”
Don Bacon has represented Nebraska’s 2nd District in Congress since replacing Brad Ashford in 2017. Born in Momence, Illinois in 1963, Bacon currently resides in Papillion and holds degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
