Rep. Don Bacon, currently serving as the U.S. Congressman for Nebraska’s 2nd district, shared several updates on his social media accounts in early October 2025, including commentary on clean energy, sports, and international affairs.

On October 4, Bacon directed followers to a recent publication, writing “ICYMI: Read my newest piece in the @WashTimes Clean Energy Special Section https://t.co/e7XdTrT6s4”. Later that day, he commented on a sporting event with “Go Big Red! Great 1st and 4th quarters! https://t.co/02vfyagsEo” on October 5.

On October 5, Bacon referenced current events involving Russian President Vladimir Putin, stating “Just as the Bible says, a man will reap what he sows. Putin is getting what he deserves. https://t.co/JSTg5nPtQK”.

Bacon has represented Nebraska’s 2nd District in Congress since 2017 after succeeding Brad Ashford. Born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and now residing in Papillion, Bacon holds degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
