Rep. Don Bacon, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska’s 2nd district since 2017, recently shared several personal and political reflections on his social media account.
On April 1, 2026, Bacon posted about the ongoing conflict in Eastern Europe: “Ukraine holds more cards than many realize.”
The following day, on April 2, 2026, he commented succinctly on an unspecified issue: “Totally stupid stuff.”
Later that same day, Bacon reminisced about his military service with a post recalling a holiday spent abroad: “TBT: Christmas 2007 in Baghdad.”
Bacon has represented Nebraska’s 2nd District in Congress since replacing Brad Ashford in 2017. He was born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently resides in Papillion. His educational background includes degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
