Spencer Schomers, the former Creighton Preparatory School standout, was on the court as the Florida Southern Moccasins edged out the Barry Buccaneers, 84-82, on Wednesday, Feb. 25.
The 6′5″ graduate guard added 8 points, 2 rebounds and 2 blocks over 22 minutes of play.
Schomers and Florida Southern are set to host Nova Southeastern Sharks next, with tipoff at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28.
Omaha Softball will face St. Thomas in a key Summit League series starting April 10 after an eight-game win streak. The Mavericks have achieved their highest-ever mid-major ranking this season and recently celebrated pitcher Alexis Wiggins’ weekly league honor.
Creighton’s softball series against Georgetown has been rescheduled due to rain in the forecast. The teams will now play a doubleheader on Friday and one game Saturday. Fans with Sunday tickets can exchange them for another home game.
These former City of Omaha area high school athletes are set to compete on Friday, April 10.
