Spencer Schomers, a former standout at Creighton Preparatory School, took the court on Saturday, Feb. 28, during the Florida Southern Moccasins’ 92-73 defeat against the Nova Southeastern Sharks.
The 6′5″ graduate guard logged eight points, grabbed two rebounds and made one steal over 18 minutes of play.
Omaha Softball will face St. Thomas in a key Summit League series starting April 10 after an eight-game win streak. The Mavericks have achieved their highest-ever mid-major ranking this season and recently celebrated pitcher Alexis Wiggins’ weekly league honor.
Creighton’s softball series against Georgetown has been rescheduled due to rain in the forecast. The teams will now play a doubleheader on Friday and one game Saturday. Fans with Sunday tickets can exchange them for another home game.
These former City of Omaha area high school athletes are set to compete on Friday, April 10.
