On Sunday, April 27, former Mercy High School standout Mattingly Barnes’ current college team, the Wayne State Wildcats, won 7-6 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Concordia Golden Bears.
The game took place at Carlander Field. This was their second matchup against the Golden Bears this season.
The Wildcats’ next game is scheduled for Thursday, May 1 at 3:35 p.m. at Bowden Field against Minnesota State Mavericks.
